I hate shopping, at least the kind of shopping that Black Friday conjures up, but the US-born retail event, now adopted by the Irish, gave me an interesting insight, which I’ll pass on to you – for a once-off, unbeatable Black Friday price – that is, free!

I spent last Tuesday and Wednesday at a conference in London which was all about investing, the barriers to success, and the distinct lack of trust of the financial services industry.
